The Highfields Level 3 International Award in Emergency First Aid at Work and Use of an AED is specifically tailored for employees assigned as workplace first aiders. This training ensures participants can provide timely, reliable, and potentially life-saving support, improving organizational safety standards while maintaining full regulatory compliance. 

The curriculum focuses on critical areas such as the legal responsibilities of a first aider, accurate incident assessment, and recognizing symptoms of common workplace injuries or illnesses. Participants receive hands-on instruction in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), safe AED operation, and managing serious conditions including chest trauma, spinal injuries, anaphylaxis, and auto-injector administration.

HABC - Paediatric First Aid At Work Use An AED

Course Overview:

The Highfield Level 3 International Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid and Use of an AED is recommended for learners already working or preparing to work in the industry and to provide candidates, who are responsible for the welfare of infants and children, with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to support first aid and the use of a defibrillator in the workplace.

This qualification is designed for those learners wishing to gain the knowledge and skills required to enable them to provide effective emergency paediatric first aid.

Learners will become familiar with the role of the paediatric first aider and be able to assess and react appropriately to an emergency situation, such as a child or an infant who is unresponsive, has an airway obstruction, has breathing difficulties or is suffering from shock.
